The Aboriginal Best Start project name is ‘Tartu-nganyin Bopop’ which means ‘we are caring for children’. Aboriginal Best Start works in partnership with agencies and services to improve outcomes for Aboriginal children aged 0-8 years. We aim to ensure that Aboriginal children are healthy, happy and developmentally ready for school. Tartu-nganyin Bopop operates across the City of Casey and City of Greater Dandenong.

Aboriginal Best Start program at Dandenong and District Aborigines Co-operative
Dandenong and District Aborigines Co-operative Ltd (DDACL) provides programs and services to meet the needs of local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We provide a wide range of health care through our Bunurong Health Service as well as a variety of community programs to promote wellbeing and social engagement.
All of our services have a strong cultural component and we strive to provide a supportive, open and culturally safe environment for Aboriginal people.
