Why you should join our Yarning Group

Health Professionals and smoking related guest speakers help educate, and there is no smoking during the group session.

The benefits of the group includes:

  • Supportive
  • Culturally safe space
  • Access to quit educators
  • Access to resources

Giving up smoking for good takes a positive attitude and the help and support of others. Our Yarning Group is open to the Aboriginal community, this includes partners of Aboriginal people. The group assists in educating and supporting smokers through their quit journey, as well as reducing social isolation for them and the ex-smokers who come to maintain their quit status.

Our Yarning Group is supportive of both smokers and ex-smokers who band together to support each other through their quit journey.

For more information, contact our Tobacco Action Workers. You can also contact an Aboriginal Health Worker at Bunurong Health Service who will put you in touch with us.
