The Tackling Indigenous Smoking Team have many years of experience in delivering informative and engaging tobacco education workshops and stalls in settings including: community gatherings, events, schools, youth groups and sports carnivals.
Our aim is to raise awareness of the harms of smoking using a broad range of topics related to tobacco.
Topics such as:
- Smoking in pregnancy,
- Shisha and e-cigarette dangers,
- Poisons in cigarettes,
- How smoking damages the body, and
- Secondhand smoke and pets
You can book the TIS Health Promotion Stall/Workshop at your next event.
We are able to host our stall inside or outside as we have a trailer and marquee, complete with tailor made health promotion props and fun and engaging games.
Our health promotion services are specifically for gatherings with a large amount of Aboriginal people in attendance.
Our services are:
- Provided free or charge
- Tailored to suit the needs of the client group or community
- Can be delivered as a one-off workshop or regular workshops
